Security & Data Practices
Last updated: 22 July 2026
Opsell connects to the marketplaces you sell on so you can manage listings, inventory, and pricing from one place. That access is a responsibility, and this page explains plainly what we do with your data, what we will never do with it, and how we keep it safe.
It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions, and Amazon Marketplace Terms & Conditions.
1. What we do with your data
Opsell uses your data for one purpose: to improve your own listings and run your own storefronts. That is the whole of it.
When you connect a marketplace, we read your catalog — titles, descriptions, bullet points, images, attributes, categories, inventory, and pricing — so we can show you what is weak, suggest better content, and publish your approved changes back. Every recommendation we generate points at one of your own products.
- We do notpool your data with other sellers' data, for any purpose — including analytics, benchmarking, or model training.
- We do not sell, rent, license, or syndicate your data to anyone.
- We do not use your data to tell another seller anything about your business, and we do not tell you anything about theirs.
- We do not publish reports, keyword databases, or market intelligence built from your data.
2. Every marketplace, one place
Opsell exists so you can stop logging into six seller panels. From a single workspace you can:
- edit and republish listing content — titles, descriptions, bullets, images, attributes;
- manage inventory and pricing across the channels you have connected;
- track performance for every connected marketplace side by side;
- see what is broken or underperforming, with a ranked list of fixes.
Nothing is published without your approval. Opsell drafts changes and shows you what it intends to do; you review and approve before anything is written back to a marketplace.
3. How we protect it
- Encrypted everywhere. All traffic is served over HTTPS with a valid TLS certificate. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
- Least-privilege access. Access to production data is role-based and limited to what a task requires. Access and the actions taken against your account are audit-logged and reviewed.
- Credentials isolated. Marketplace credentials and API tokens are held in a managed secrets store, never written to logs, never returned to the browser after submission, and never committed to source control.
- Separated by account. Your data is stored and processed against your own account. It is not pooled with, or compared against, any other customer's data.
4. Your data stays yours
You grant access, and you can withdraw it. Connecting a marketplace is done by you, from inside your authenticated workspace, and can be undone the same way.
- Disconnect at any time— from Opsell, or by revoking Opsell's authorization in the marketplace's own seller panel. We stop all API calls for that account immediately and delete the stored credentials.
- Deletion. Data already retrieved is deleted within [RETENTION WINDOW, e.g. 30 days] of disconnection or account closure. You can also request deletion at any time by writing to us.
- Access and correction.Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask what we hold about you and have it corrected or erased. See our Privacy Policy for how to exercise these rights.
5. Compliance
Opsell operates under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and under the policies of every marketplace we connect to. Where a marketplace sets stricter rules for handling its data, those rules govern.
For Amazon specifically, our commitments under the Amazon Acceptable Use Policy and the Amazon Data Protection Policy — including how Selling Partner API and Brand Analytics data is handled — are set out in full in our Amazon Marketplace Terms & Conditions.
Opsell is an independent software provider and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an agent of any marketplace it connects to.
6. Reporting a security issue
If you believe you have found a vulnerability, or that your account has been accessed without authorization, write to support@opsell.ai with the details. We investigate every report and will keep you updated on what we find.
Please give us a reasonable opportunity to resolve an issue before disclosing it publicly. Where a security incident affects data belonging to a connected marketplace, we notify that marketplace within the timeframe its policies require, and we notify affected customers and the Data Protection Board of India as required under the DPDP Rules.
We will never ask you for your marketplace password or a one-time passcode. Anyone doing so while claiming to be Opsell is not us — report it to the address above.
